Organisation

The AReSS is structured according to a matrix organisation, with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) being supported by areas, bodies and staff structures, in strong synergy with each other.

The matrix organisation has two levels of coordination. On the one hand there are the four strategic management areas, which pursue the agency's goals: Epidemiology and Care Intelligence, Evaluation and Research, System Innovation and Quality, and eHealth. On the other hand there is the Administrative Management area, which ensures integration between the areas, supporting them in their different activities.

The strategic management areas and special project structures support the management in the agency's activities, while the Administrative Management Area, the Secretariat and the Digital Transition and Privacy Service contribute to the exercise of the agency's functions.

All areas are in turn divided into Services, simple structures in which professional skills, human and technological resources are concentrated, aimed at carrying out the agency's functions.
