Reporting on health technologies

Proposals for health technology assessment within the framework of the National Medical Devices HTA Programme can be made by:

  • Ministry of Health and related bodies
  • Regions
  • Health Authorities, through the Regions
  • National Health Service professionals, through the Regions
  • scientific societies
  • manufacturers and their associations
  • citizens/patients and their associations.

Proposals may be put forward concerning technologies that are both emerging, i.e. still without CE marking, and those that are becoming widespread, widespread or presumed obsolete, for possible evaluation or re-evaluation of their appropriate use in the National Health System.

Proposals may also be made for individual devices, to be considered with reference to the technology that characterises them and to all the devices that use them, if they are not devices whose infungibility is indicated and justified.

In the case of devices whose infungibility is reported, relevant scientific evidence must be acquired to prove it.

Fill in the reporting form on the National Agency for Regional Health Services – Agenas (Agenzia Nazionale per i Servizi Sanitari Regionali) website, then send the summary pdf document to: hta@aress.regione.puglia.it.
