Open call for Puglia
By resolution no. 248 of 2021 AReSS approved the Public Notice Open Call for Puglia Innovation Healthcare for the allocation of financial contributions in favour of innovative projects in the field of active ageing technologies.
Open Call for Puglia Innovation Healthcare is aimed at selecting innovative projects concerning technologies for healthy and active ageing that could be tested and, eventually, adopted by the Regional Health System.
AReSS Puglia, in this way, intends to stimulate the Apulian partnership fabric by collecting solutions oriented to the health and social sector.
For the purposes of constructing the call for applications, the areas of interest of the technologies in line with the crucial sectors of the Smart Specialisation Strategy (digital health; advanced diagnostics; 3P medicine; bioinformatics and biotechnology; medical devices and drugs; health robotics) and the criteria on the basis of which the positive impact of the technology in the safety, organisational, economic, ethical and social domains were assessed.
The applications received were then evaluated and the five recipients of funding were identified: CREATE, Cognitive Reserve Enrichment through Assistive Technology in Elderlycare; Commercialisation of an Innovative Foam for Infection Prevention; AMA Project; Personalised Medicine through Direct Extrusion of Pharmaceutical Powders in 3D; and 3D Orthopaedics for Autonomy.
The project evaluation phase lasted six months. The five recipients of the call for funding have a time frame of eighteen months from the signing of the contract to implement the proposed solutions.
