Network Coordination
The Apulia Oncology Network (ROP, from 2017) and the Regional Coordination of Rare Diseases (CoReMaR, from 2019) are established at the AReSS.
These are bodies that aim to pursue the best quality of care for chronic diseases and do so through a multidisciplinary and integrated approach, training and the development of diagnostic-therapeutic guidelines.

The goals of the Oncology Network are:
- optimize primary and secondary prevention, as well as the patient's diagnostic, therapeutic and care pathway;
- rationalize the use of human and material resources in the health sector;
- overcome the fragmentation and lack of homogeneity of healthcare services in the oncology field by sharing protocols within the network;
- entrusting the patient to the most appropriate and closest operating nucleus according to the stage of the disease.
